If you are going to have coffee with that type of meal, make sure that you have some cinnamon. After reading studies like this http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14633804
I started using cinnamon daily and my blood glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides improved dramatically in a matter of months!
